specifications︰ Orientus is a ruggedized miniature orientation sensor and AHRS that provides accurate orientation under the most demanding conditions. It combines temperature calibrated accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers in a sophisticated fusion algorithm to deliver accurate and reliable orientation.
Advantages︰
Orientus’s accurate orientation data allows for stabilization of robotic systems. It's very high update rate allows it to control dynamically unstable platforms and it’s focus on safety and reliability provides for piece of mind.
Orientus can be used to stabilize camera gimbals allowing for smooth video from moving vehicles. It is also useful for targetting control on gimballed systems.
Athletes and sports scientists can use Orientus to analyse human movement. Multiple units can be used to analyse kinematic joint movement. The extremely small size and weight allows the unit to be worn without impacting movement or performance.
Orientus is excellent heading reference source for marine applications where its inertially fused magnetic heading is significantly more accurate than standalone magnetic heading sensors. It outputs true heading by default and is also able to provide magnetic heading.
